Denver Nuggets won the first two games of the Western Conference Semifinal series vs. Phoenix Suns, and despite the loss in Game 3 in Arizona, they have history on their side.
Teams that have taken a 2-0 lead in the second round have gone on to win that series 94 percent of the time, and Charles Barkley believes that the Colorado team can go all the way.
“I think the Nuggets are going to win this series. I think the Nuggets are going to win the NBA Championship, to be honest with you. They got everything they need,” former Suns (1992-1996) star said on Stephen A’s World.
Barkley assures the Nuggets have all the pieces to do it and that Nikola Jokic needs to be given more credit.
“Jamal Murray is finally back to being healthy. The Joker, we don’t give this kid enough credit. Their general manager, and their bench, are so good right now. Their bench is spectacular. Denver is my favorite in the West. I think they’re going to be the favorite to win the World Championship,” Charles Barkley added.
Denver entered the playoffs as a No. 1 seed from the West with a 53-29 score and defeated Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round 4-1. The fourth game against the Suns, second in Phoenix, is scheduled for Monday (08/05) at 2 a.m.
