Bogdan Bogdanovic finished the NBA season on April 28, losing to Boston Celtics in the first round of the Playoffs, and is trying to spend as much time as he can in his homeland of Serbia.

During his stay, Bogdanovic opened his seventh basketball camp in Belgrade, named “Locker Room Talks”, and on that occasion talked to the press, among other topics, about his fellow countryman, Nikola Jokic.

Bogdan joked that he hopes Serbian national team coach Svetislav Pesic will invite him for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, and opened up about a posibillity of playing with two-time MVP and the NBA champion.

That sounds nice. I hope it happens. He makes everything better; it’s foolish to even talk about it. He is a basketball player who controls the game incredibly well, and he does it effortlessly. He teaches you things that only he sees. Not everyone has that power to control the game like him. He would make everything 100 percent easier for you,” Bogdanovic said.

The 30-year-old Serbian player signed a new four-year contract for 68.000.000 dollars with the Atlanta Hawks in March, securing his future with the team from Georgia in the NBA.

He got a new coach in Quin Snyder in the final moments of the previous season, even his compatriot Igor Kokoskov joined Snyders’ staff. Everything looks fine for Bogdanovic in Atlanta, and he doesn’t even think about a trade.

Maybe I paid attention to that during the first two years in the NBA, whether there would be a trade or not. After that, you get used to it, it’s part of the job. There are people who handle those things, you focus on your own story, play basketball, and enjoy it. Anything can happen. It didn’t happen to me, but you have teammates to whom it did, and you think about how they have to move and everything else. For now, everything is going well in Atlanta, I’m satisfied, playing the role I need to play, and that’s it.
