The new NBA Cup – and its rules – have been causing doubts to several fans around the world, as many do not understand the point of its introduction.

Before the start of the whole competition, Bones Hyland was asked about it, and his answer didn’t disappoint. “I’m not even going to lie. I don’t even know what’s going on. I don’t even know how it works. I don’t know anything honestly”, he commented on the introduction of the In-Season Tournament.

The VCU Rams alumni went on to talk about the competition. “I am just looking at the schedule, I see on the schedule sheet like a trophy next to one of the games… I feel like the trophy is supposed to be in July…I am just trying to win the games, that’s all”, the point guard added.

Bones Hyland, who played with the Denver Nuggets from 2021 to 2023 after being selected with the 26th pick in the NBA Draft, moved this summer to the Los Angeles Clippers. In California, he has been averaging 13.6 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, being at 3-2 in the standings.
