Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum became the youngest player in the history of the organization to score 10,000 points.

At 25 years old, Tatum reached the five-digit numbers during the Celtics‘ 124 – 114 win over the Brooklyn Nets Saturday (5/11). He dropped 32 points and, in the process, passed Antoine Walker who was the previous record holder by making the 10,000-point mark while 26 years old.

Tatum is now also the 10th youngest player in NBA history to hit 10,000 career points after LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Trace McGrady, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Devin Booker, Dwight Howard and former EuroLeague champion Bob McAdoo.

It took Tatum 538 games to make these accomplishments. He has spent all of his NBA career with the Celtics since the club selected him with the third overall pick in 2017.

Since then, Tatum has been named an All-Star four times (2020-23) and a member of the All-NBA First Team twice (2022, 2023). He finished last season with career-highs in points (30.3), rebounds (8.6) and assists (4.6).
