Serbian players Aleksej Pokusevski and Vasilije Micic previously played together in the Oklahoma City Thunder before Micic was traded to the Charlotte Hornets.

The Thunder recently waived Pokusevski, and according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, they are set to reunite, as the Hornets are expected to sign the former Olympiacos forward.

The 22-year-old Serbian player was selected as the 17th overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft and amassed 150 regular-season appearances for Oklahoma throughout four seasons, averaging 7.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and two assists.

At the beginning of the 2023/24 season, he faced some injuries, consequently losing his place in the Thunder rotation, playing only 10 matches and averaging just six minutes on the court.

OKC then decided to part ways with Pokusevski, with head coach Mark Daigneault stating they are “rooting for him.”

Aleksej Pokusevski will now rejoin forces with Vasilije Micic, who helped the Hornets achieve five wins in six games since his arrival, averaging much more playing time and having a significant impact on the court.
