Denver needed a win against the Minnesota Timberwolves to go up 2nd in the Western Conference, overcoming one of the most dangerous opponents this season. And the Nuggets delivered, getting the 115-112 victory.
Nikola Jokic was the real protagonist of the game, dropping a double-double of 35 points and 16 rebounds, shooting 14/22 from the field and 4/6 at the line. “It’s really hard to play against a team that they’re missing a lot of guys. Of course the other guys are playing hard”, he said.
The Minnesota Timberwolves were without both Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert, giving some extra time to Luka Garza from the bench. The American-Bosnian center had 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals, but he struggled with 4/11 from the field.
