After scoring 14 points against Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tristan Vukcevic recorded his newest career-high in the NBA in back-to-back fashion, dropping a 15-point losing effort against the Los Angeles Lakers.

In the defeat, he tried his best to guard Anthony Davis, who still finished with a huge double-double of 35 points and 18 rebounds. Getting some tips on how to defend against the American superstar, he called his former teammate Frank Kaminsky.

Spending part of the 2023-24 season in Partizan Belgrade together, he addressed this conversation. “I called my friend Frank Kaminsky. I asked him if he got some tips on how to guard Anthony Davis. He told me what to do, where to push him, his strengths”, he commented.

Averaging 5.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in seven appearances with the Wizards since coming over to the NBA, he is having a way better impact on Washington than the one he had in the EuroLeague with Partizan, where he was putting up 4.2 points and 2.3 rebounds.

Frank Kaminsky, on the other end, is playing his first season in Europe after an 8-year career in the NBA. He spent time with the Charlotte Hornets (2015-19), the Phoenix Suns (2019-22), the Atlanta Hawks (2022-23), and a few months with the Houston Rockets.
