Bogdan Bogdanovic had his best NBA season yet and was one of the most important pieces of the Atlanta Hawks, coming off the bench for most of the season.
However, the NBA officially announced that Minnesota Timberwolves big man Naz Reid won the Sixth Man of the Year award.
Reid averaged career highs of 13.5 points and 5.2 rebounds in 81 games. The forward-center came off the bench 67 times. He received 45 first-place votes to 43 for Monk from a panel of 99 reporters and broadcasters who cover the league. Both players had 39 second-place votes and 10 third-place votes, giving Reid a total of 352 points to Monk’s 342.
Milwaukee’s Bobby Portis Jr. finished third. Norman Powell of the Clippers was fourth, and Atlanta’s Bogdanovic rounded out the top five.

The Serbian guard averaged 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists, breaking barriers in three-point shooting and becoming one of the best shooters in the League.
He came off the bench 46 times but, due to multiple injuries in his team, wrapped up the season as a starter with 33 appearances in the starting lineup.
