After respectively eliminating the Los Angeles Lakers 4-1 and sweeping the Phoenix Suns 4-0 in the First Round of this year’s NBA Playoffs, the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves will meet in the Western Conference Semi-Finals.

In what will be one of the most exciting close meet-ups of the whole postseason, Nikola Jokic and Anthony Edwards will go at each other to bring their respective team closer and closer to the NBA Finals.

Commenting on his abilities before playing against him, the Serbian back-to-back NBA MVP praised the 22-year-old American star. “He’s amazing. He’s a really dangerous player. He’s a really talented player who can do everything, and who has everything in his arsenal”, he first said.

Anthony Edwards, who has been averaging 31.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game in this year’s postseason, made the Timberwolves take an extra step ahead in being a competitive franchise for the title. “He has a team that backs him up. He’s actually a really funny guy to be around. Hopefully, we’re going to have some fun too”, Nikola Jokic added about him.

Then, as reported by Denver’s reporter Harrison Wind, Nikola Jokic went on to praise the whole Timberwolves’ organization. “When Tim Connelly made that trade [for Rudy Gobert] everybody was laughing at him and what he was doing. But he made a great team. I think he deserves credit for doing that”, he recalled when Minnesota brought the French center on board.

“The coaching staff is making things work, they’re a really dangerous team. They have answers for everything, playing small, playing big. They can do it all, hopefully, we can do something in the next 4+ games. I think they’re built really well”, the Serbian star finally said about his future opponents.
