Starting the Regular Season with a loss and a poor shooting performance, Victor Wembanyama bounced back with 29 points over the Houston Rockets, lifting up the San Antonio Spurs to win 109-106.
Last year’s NBA Rookie of the Year also grabbed 7 rebounds and blocked 3 shots, shooting 10/17 from the field including 2/5 from the three-point arc. He also shot 7/8 at the line. The French center was assisted by Jeremy Sochan’s double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds.
On the other end, Alperen Sengun had a difficult night, scoring only 6 points with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. The Turkish young gem shot 2/8 from the three-point line in his team’s defeat.
