The Chicago Bulls fall shy of a second straight win in the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season despite Montenegrin Nikola Vucevic posting a triple-double

Opening the NBA Sundays schedule in Little Caesars Arena, the Detroit Pistons beat the Chicago Bulls, 127-119.

On the wrong end, Montenegrin Nikola Vucevic posted a triple-double consisting of 20 points, ten assists, and ten rebounds. The starting center of the Bulls also produced two blocks and one steal in 36 minutes on Sunday.

Just over two years since his previous triple-double, Vucevic upped his total to six, amid trade rumors heading to Thursday’s deadline for players to be traded and be eligible for the 2025 Playoffs.

Lithuanian teammate Matas Buzelis ended up with 12 points, three rebounds, and one assist.

Forcing the Bulls to 21-29 in the 2024-25 Regular Season, the Pistons improved to 25-24. Italian Simone Fontecchio chipped in 11 points, four rebounds, and one block.

In Scotiabank Arena, the Toronto Raptors, guided by Serbian head coach Darko Rajakovic, secured a win, 115-108, over the Los Angeles Clippers and went up to 16-33. Austrian Jakob Poeltl produced a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double alongside three assists and one block.

Fellow European and opposite starting center, Croatian Ivica Zubac finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, one steal, and one assist. Coming off the bench, French Nicolas Batum had 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one block.

Following the departure of Slovenian Luka Doncic and German Maxi Kleber, the Dallas Mavericks lost, 144-101, to the Cleveland Cavaliers. One-way traffic in Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse saw the Cavs lead peaking at 53 points.
