Two of the most interesting teams to watch this season faced off in the latest action in the NBA, as the Detroit Pistons surprised the Cleveland Cavaliers at home 133-122.

Even without Cade Cunningham, the Pistons managed to take down the first-seed team in the East, especially thanks to Dennis Schroder’s performance of 17 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds. This was the first 15-10-5 game since 2017, according to Stats Muse.

“Tonight was a next man up mentality, Cade [Cunningham] is out, we got a couple of people out. Everybody is working, everybody is chipping in. We did it together tonight,” he commented after the win.

The German playmaker and OG Anunoby weren’t the only Europeans thriving last night. Nikola Jokic had again another excellent night at 27 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals to beat Utah.

Ivica Zubac put up the umpteenth double-double of the season, contributing with 21 points and 12 rebounds, contributing to the Los Angeles Clippers‘ 132-100 win on the road against the Brooklyn Nets. Rudy Gobert had 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 steals in the victory over the Phoenix Suns.

Another French tried to contribute to his team’s win, as Tidjane Salaun had 12 points and 14 rebounds off Charlotte’s bench. However, Jakob Poeltl powered Toronto up with 24 points and 12 boards.
