The No.1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft won’t be playing in the Playoffs

Just like his countryman and former No.1 pick in the previous NBA Draft, Victor Wembanyama, Zaccharie Risacher won’t be making an appearance at the Playoffs in his rookie season.

However, the Atlanta Hawks went pretty close to it, as they lost to the Miami Heat only in overtime, suffering a 123-114 defeat which won’t extend their season anywhere further.

Unfortunately, the French talent only had 3 points and 2 steals, probably experiencing one of his worst shooting nights since coming over to the NBA. He shot 1/11 from the field, including 0/7 from deep.

Led by Tyler Herro’s 30 points, the Heat will now square up against the 1st seed, the Cleveland Cavaliers, in the Eastern Conference First Round.

Trae Young (29 points and 11 assists) and Onyeka Okongwu (28 points and 12 rebounds) weren’t enough to contribute to Atlanta’s potential win in the final stage of the Play-In Tournament.

The No.1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, which is still in contention for the Rookie of the Year Award with San Antonio’s Stephon Castle and Washington’s Alex Sarr, has finished his first campaign in the NBA by averaging 12.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game with Atlanta.
