It was a record-breaking night for the Pacers as they beat 129-109 the Cavaliers on the way to a 3-1 lead, much easier than the final score suggests.

The home team led by 41 points at halftime (80-39) and extended their advantage to 44 points in the start of the third period before slowing down.

The 80 points are a franchise-postseason record for points in a half and also by dishing 25 assists, the Pacers set a new NBA postseason record for assists in a half in the play-by-play era (1998).

Tyrese Haliburton (photo) scored just 11 points, however in total Indiana has seven players in double digits with Pascal Siakam finishing the night with 21, while Miles Turner and Obi Toppin added 20 points each.

It was a tense game with Benedict Mathurin getting ejected in the first period for shoving DeAndre Hunter after just one minute spend on the court, but the Pacers were in total control on both ends of the floor.

Darius Garland with 21 points was the top scorer of Cleveland, while Donovan Mitchell didn’t play in the second half due to an ankle injury and remains to be seen if he will be available for Game 5.
