Nicolas Batum, an NBA veteran forward and former longtime French national team captain, may embark on the final season of his career in 2025-26.
“There’s a very, very good chance that the next season will be my last,” Batum said in an interview with BeinSports.

Batum is expected to return to the Los Angeles Clippers next season and complete the two-year contract he signed with the team during the 2024 free agency. It will be the 18th campaign for the 36-year-old French player in the NBA.
Last season, Batum averaged 17.5 minutes over 78 games in the regular season, posting 4.0 points and 2.8 rebounds. His playing time increased in the playoffs, during which he spent 24.6 minutes on the floor and had 5.6 rebounds and 3.9 rebounds.
A year ago, Batum played his last game with the French national team in the Final of the Olympic Games. Les Bleus fell to USA 98 – 78.
