In Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, the Minnesota Timberwolves completely dismantled the Oklahoma City Thunder, winning 143-101 at home.
After getting the first two wins of the series, OKC needed to bounce back to get within the NBA Finals by only one more victory, and they did so.
Trailed by a magnificent Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, they won 128-126. The MVP of the Regular Season almost had a 40-point triple-double, as he shared 10 assists and grabbed 9 rebounds.
Jalen Williams (34 points and 5 assists) and Chet Holmgren (21 points and 7 rebounds) contributed to the Thunder‘s victory as well.
For Minnesota, Nickeil Alexander-Walker (23 points and 6 assists) off the bench and Jaden McDaniels (22 points and 4 steals) led in scoring.
Anthony Edwards just scored 16 points on 5/13 from the field. “They outplayed us, outrebounded us, got more of the 50-50 balls. [They] wanted it a little bit more,” he commented.
