Kevin Durant has taken another step into the world of global sports ownership, becoming a minority shareholder in Paris Saint-Germain through a new partnership with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the French club announced on Friday.
The Phoenix Suns forward acquired his stake via his personal investment vehicle, in collaboration with Boardroom — the media and investment company he co-founded with longtime business partner Rich Kleiman. Financial details remain undisclosed.
“It is an honor to partner with QSI and be a shareholder in Paris Saint-Germain – a club and city that is deeply close to my heart,” Durant said. “This club has big plans and I look forward to being part of the next phase of growth.”
The collaboration between Durant’s Boardroom and QSI will span commercial projects, investment strategies, and content development. A key focus will be boosting PSG’s brand presence in the United States and other international markets. Durant is also expected to contribute to the club’s broader multi-sport ambitions, including potential developments in basketball.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi praised the new partnership, saying: “Together with Kevin, we look forward to developing ambitious initiatives that will drive the continued global growth of Paris Saint-Germain and QSI.”
Durant, 36, is no stranger to sports ownership. In 2020, he became a stakeholder in Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union.
