Free agent center Guerschon Yabusele has agreed to a two-year, $12 million contract with the New York Knicks, plus a player option, per Shams Charania.
This move continues the unusual journey of the 16th pick of the 2016 draft, who played one year in China before joining the Celtics for two seasons in the summer of 2017.
He then moved back to China in 2019, returned to Europe in his home country of France with ASVEL, and ultimately established himself with Real Madrid as one of the best big men outside the NBA.
That was more than evident in the recent Paris Olympics, where he won silver and was one of the standouts of the tournament, especially in the final against the USA.
His performances during the 2024 Olympic tournament proved to be the ticket for a return to the NBA with the Sixers, where he had the chance to showcase his talent and get a solid deal this summer.
