Nikola Topić, the No. 12 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, missed his entire rookie season due to injury, but he is now fully recovered and back in action.
The Serbian point guard made his debut for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Summer League, leaving a strong impression despite a 92–80 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
The former Crvena Zvezda player scored 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting from two-point range and 2-of-4 from beyond the arc. He also dished out two assists and recorded two steals in his first official. game for the 2025 NBA champions.
This is undoubtedly just the first of many performances to come. While it’s clear there’s still a long road ahead for Topić the early signs are certainly promising
