The Milwaukee Bucks will be re-signing Thanasis Antetokounmpo if his younger brother Giannis Antetokounmpo stays with the team, according to Marc Stein.
Stein says that, “The Bucks… are expected to re-sign Antetokounmpo’s brother Thanasis if their superstar indeed remains in Brewton.”
Back in May it was reported that Giannis could potentially explore all available options during the offseason, including the possibility of continuing his career elsewhere. There has been quite the speculation on whether the Bucks will trade their superstar or not while the Greek Freak recently said that he’ll “probably” stay in Milwaukee.
Thanasis will return to action next season after recovering from an Achilles tendon surgery he underwent back in May 2024.
Following a EuroLeague stint with Panathinaikos Athens from 2017 to 2019, Thanasis has been Giannis’ teammate at the Bucks, appearing in 223 games.
