Former EuroLeague player turned scout Ermal Kuqo, who spent most of his playing days with Anadolu Efes, is the new Senior Director of Minor League Operations for the New York Knicks.
As Mike Scotto of Hoopshype, who reported the news, added: “Kuqo spent the past nine years with the Los Angeles Clippers. He was most recently their Director of International Pro Scouting. He played 14 years overseas, including eight for Anadolu Efes“.
Born in 1980, Ermal Kuqo was born in Albania, but got Turkish nationality and played for the national team from 2004 until 2010.
However, he is also widely accepted as the greatest Albanian basketball player of all time and, in the summer of 2010, got granted the wish to play for his birth country near the end of his playing days.
