Victor Wembanyama from the San Antonio Spurs and Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks have been selected as the best players of the Western and Eastern Conference for the first week of the NBA season.
The Spurs‘ center started his third NBA season in an extraordinary way and immediately became an MVP candidate. His San Antonio team currently holds a 3-0 record, with Wembanyama averaging 33.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, and an incredible six blocks per game across those three wins.
On the other side, Giannis Antetokounmpo remains the leading player for the Bucks, who have two wins and one loss after the first week.
The Greek star is also posting remarkable statistics, averaging 36 points per game, along with 16 rebounds and seven assists, numbers that earned him the first Player of the week award of the new season.
