Last night’s NBA action was highlighted by a duel of two superstars — Victor Wembanyama versus Anthony Edwards.
Eventually it was Wemby who prevailed after scoring 39 points with nine rebounds, but Ant-Man had an even better individual performance, recording a career-high 55 points.
After the epic encounter, Wembanyama shared his thoughts.
“It’s an honor, and it’s one of the best things to have the best players go as hard as they can, because first of all, it makes us better. It makes me better, and it’s a show of respect,” the Frenchman said.
Edwards was also thrilled and insisted he would have wanted to play one-on-one against the Spurs star.
“I love it. I wish we could’ve just moved everybody out of the way, just take that one. Me vs. him.”
Asked who would win a potential one-on-one against Wembanyama, the Minnesota star didn’t hesitate: “Me.”
This was the ninth time these two superstars clashed in the NBA, with Edwards still leading 6–3 while averaging 27.8 points, while Wemby averages 24.4 points and 9.3 rebounds against Ant and the Timberwolves.
