Adding to a series of alarming events, Kyle Singler posted a video on his Instagram account on Saturday, claiming that he is homeless and that his daughter is being abused. This incident is similar to cryptic videos posted in 2024.
“I don’t feel safe,” Singler opened in the most recent video. “I’ve got people in my life taking my money. This is a message to everybody that has been messing with me.”
“My child is being sexually, physically, emotionally, spiritually abused. Shame on everybody that knows me; that’s not helping, not intervening. Fuck you all. Duke, Medford, everybody,” he added, referring to his NCAA team, Duke, and his birthplace, Medford.
“I have people in my life fucking me, and nobody’s there. I’m on my own, homeless, and people are just feeding off me,” he continued.
“My child has been a weapon against me. I’m not apologetic for living my life out of love. Being there for people that I want to be around, but it’s not reciprocal. I have been taken fucking advantage of every step of the way. And now I’m talking. You’ll all talk shit. Now, I’m talking shit. I hope you like it.”

A former NBA player with eight Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances as a Real Madrid player during the 2011-12 season, 37-year-old Singler was arrested in Oklahoma in late October, after allegedly assaulting and threatening his girlfriend, while attempting to get their daughter during the altercation. Responding officers noted he was under the influence of narcotics and largely uncooperative. He was jailed on a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery in the presence of a child and was later released on a $6,000 bond.
After being crowned NCAA champion in 2010 and completing his college career in 2011, he was selected with the 33rd overall pick of the annual NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons. Between 2012 and 2018, he logged 363 appearances in the league, spread from the Pistons to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Taking his talents to Spain, he went from the first year of his professional career to returning in 2018 and announcing his retirement in 2019.
