ESPN reports Bucks are listening to offers for Antetokounmpo ahead of Feb. 5 deadline

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is increasingly open to a trade ahead of the February 5 deadline, with multiple teams making aggressive offers and the franchise showing a new willingness to listen, according to a report by ESPN.

League sources told ESPN that Antetokounmpo has informed the Bucks for months that he believes the time may have come to part ways after more than 12 seasons together.

Milwaukee, currently 18–27 and 12th in the Eastern Conference, is not rushing a decision but is evaluating whether it can secure a return centered around elite young talent and significant draft capital. The Bucks are also open to revisiting trade talks in the offseason, when more teams could offer attractive draft assets.

Antetokounmpo, 31, is eligible for a four-year, $275 million supermax extension on October 1, but could become an unrestricted free agent in 2027 if he declines his player option.

In recent weeks, Antetokounmpo publicly questioned the team’s chemistry and competitiveness, while injuries have further complicated Milwaukee’s season.

Despite his deep ties to the city and franchise, ongoing discussions between Antetokounmpo, his representatives, and the Bucks suggest that a trade is now a realistic possibility.
