With a trade that will send Giannis away from the Bucks not completed, the Greek Freak may not play for the rest of the season

After many days of talks, the Bucks were not satisfied with any of the offers for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

So the Greek Freak remains in Milwaukee, but it’s questionable whether he will play again until the end of the season.

At least that’s what Brian Windhorst reports, as Giannis is already injured and the Bucks are much more focused on their future, the draft, and a possible rebuild, if the Greek superstar is traded in the offseason.

As he said early in the day during ESPN’s “First Take”: “What I suspect is going to happen is that the Bucks are going to deactivate Giannis and not play him for the rest of the season, or very close to the rest of the season, because their future now is highly dependent on their draft pick and Giannis avoiding injury, they got to protect those legs”.

Of course, this move is probably not compatible with Giannis mentality, as Windhorst admitted: “I want to know how Giannis is going to feel about potentially being shut down for the season, not only not traded, but also being shut down, because that’s the tactically correct move for the Bucks”.

Meanwhile, the Bucks are making moves that don’t change their outlook in the East, like adding Nick Richards and EuroLeague MVP Nigel Hayes-Davis from Phoenix.
