NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has officially become part of the ownership group of Chelsea Women, stepping into the growing world of women’s professional sports.
The Milwaukee Bucks forward, 31, shared his excitement on social media, saying he was “proud and honoured” to team up with Alexis Ohanian, the Reddit co-founder who acquired a stake in the club in 2025.
“Chelsea is a historic club built on passion, excellence, and a winning culture,” Antetokounmpo wrote. “Its history speaks for itself, and I’m thrilled to play a part in shaping its future while supporting the continued growth and impact of women’s sport. This is about ambition, legacy, and pushing the game to new heights. Up the Chels!”
This move continues Antetokounmpo’s growing presence in the sports business world. The Greek Freak recently became a shareholder in Kalshi, a major prediction market featuring a wide array of sports trading opportunities.
