Stephen Curry has committed to returning to the annual 3-Point Contest during the NBA’s 2027 All-Star Weekend in Phoenix.

By competing in the 2026 edition on Saturday and bouncing back to win the State Farm 3-Point Contest, Damian Lillard became the third player to win the event three times, joining Larry Bird and Craig Hodges. Meanwhile, 37-year-old Curry has earned two wins, equaling the totals of Mark Price, Jeff Hornacek, Peja Stojakovic, and Jason Kapono. Curry’s next goal is to join the list of three-time winners, a move he confirmed before Sunday’s All-Star Game at the Intuit Dome.

“One hundred percent,” he explained in a pregame interview with NBC. “I already scheduled it.”

The Golden State Warriors star has previously appeared in the 3-Point Contest on seven occasions but has sat out since 2021. He took first place in 2015 and 2021, and was the runner-up in 2010, 2016, and 2019, but was eliminated in the preliminary rounds in 2013 and 2014.

Despite being sidelined since last April with a torn Achilles, Lillard secured the win, adding to his 2023 and 2024 titles. Curry’s eagerness to defend his reputation as the greatest shooter ever, supported by his NBA record for the most triples made, is what brings him back to the competition.

Receiving his 12th All-Star selection, Curry was voted as a starter this year but did not play due to a lingering right knee injury.

In the 2025-26 Regular Season with the Warriors, the four-time NBA champion has averaged 27.2 points, 4.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game.
