The Sacramento Kings have signed guard Killian Hayes to a two-year contract following a short stint with the team on consecutive 10-day deals, according to his agent, Yann Balikouzou of LIFT Sports Management, who confirmed the agreement to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Hayes, a former No. 7 overall pick in the NBA Draft, initially joined Sacramento on a temporary basis and appeared in 10 games during his evaluation period. The Kings were evidently encouraged enough by his role within the roster to commit to a longer-term agreement.
During his brief run with Sacramento, Hayes primarily provided depth in the backcourt while showcasing his playmaking ability. Across those 10 appearances in the 2025–26 regular season, he averaged 3.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game, while shooting 26.9% from the field.
Although his scoring efficiency has been limited in the small sample size, Hayes has contributed as a facilitator and ball-handler, roles that could remain important as the Kings manage their guard rotation for the remainder of the season and the next one.
