Alperen Sengun delivered the decisive blow in a heavyweight clash Sunday night, converting a go-ahead floater to lift the Houston Rockets over the Golden State Warriors. The game-winner, served up on a pinpoint assist from Kevin Durant, capped a 24-point performance for the young center and extended Houston’s winning streak in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season to six games.

Head coach Ime Udoka praised the synergy of his stars, noting that opponents now face a ‘pick your poison’ dilemma when defending the duo. “You can switch it, and one of them will usually have a mismatch,” explained the 48-year-old play-caller. “I liked the offensive execution on the last play and the defensive execution on the last shot.”

That final defensive stand was required to withstand a dazzling return from Stephen Curry, who scored 29 points in just 26 minutes after missing 27 games with a knee injury. His presence shifted the game’s gravity immediately, erasing a late double-digit Houston lead. “We had the game in control, then they put number 30 in the game,” said Durant, who finished with 31 points against his former team. “He got it back so easily, making shots so quickly. He looked incredible out there.” Udoka echoed the sentiment, remarking that Curry looked like he hadn’t missed a beat.

The night was also a historic family affair, as Steph and Seth Curry played together for the first time in the NBA. “A dream come true to be honest,” mentioned the 38-year-old combo guard, noting he felt flashbacks to their childhood in Charlotte.
