The 19th edition of the adidas Eurocamp, held Friday through Sunday, cemented its status as a premier pre-draft showcase and was highlighted by the massive developmental leap of French prospect Oscar Wembanyama.
Currently playing for SIG Strasbourg in France’s Betclic Elite, shortly after transitioning from handball in 2021, the 19-year-old forward used the prestigious international event to solidify his trajectory for the NBA Draft 2027.
Standing 2.01 meters barefoot at 87 kilograms with a commanding 2.11-meter wingspan, Wembanyama earned substantial praise from talent evaluators and DraftExpress lead analyst Jonathan Givony for his distinct, two-way versatility.
Positive weekend for Oscar Wembanyama at adidas EuroCamp, showing two-way versatility and improving skill and feel.

A veteran of five Euroleague Basketball adidas Next Generation Tournament games with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, Wembanyama used the Eurocamp showcase to successfully distance himself from being viewed simply as the younger brother of San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama, carving out his own reputation among league executives.
Operating under coaching director Bill Bayno and scouting director Gianluca Pascucci, the young wing displayed impressive perimeter shot-making, transition fluidity, and efficient play. His performance was amplified by a high-profile atmosphere featuring special guests like German forward Franz Wagner of the Orlando Magic and an elite training contingent, though Serbian guard Bogdan Bogdanovic was a late scratch despite being initially confirmed.
Unfortunately, due to personal matters, I won’t be able to attend to Adidas Eurocamp Treviso this year.
Treviso has always been a special place for me. I still remember being one of the youngest players at the camp, competing, learning, and creating memories that stayed with me… pic.twitter.com/Q6vYRfIxdq

Wembanyama’s stock-rising weekend follows a breakout campaign in France’s under-21 league, Espoirs Elite, where he averaged 10.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game. He simultaneously broke into Strasbourg’s senior professional roster, drawing nine appearances in the 2025-26 Betclic Elite Regular Season with 0.9 points per contest to demonstrate that his rapid development translates effectively against seasoned professionals in a physical domestic league.
Proving he can comfortably guard multiple positions and handle the ball like a modern big wing, Wembanyama marked a huge leap in his overall evaluation. By showcasing elite physical tools, lateral quickness, and a natural feel for the game, he firmly entered the legitimate first-round conversation for the 2027 draft class.
