After acquiring Jaylen Brown instead of Paul George, the Sixers are interested in landing the free agent LeBron James and becoming strong contenders for the NBA title.

This news was reported by “The Athletic”, which noted that the 76ers see LeBron as a key piece of the puzzle.

“The Sixers have expressed interest in LeBron James, who is a free agent after eight years with the Lakers. They believe he is the missing piece to complement Embiid, Maxey, Jaylen Brown, and Edgecombe, making them championship contenders”…

LeBron James said “no” to renewing his contract with the Lakers but is determined to continue his professional career for a 24th season in the NBA at the age of 41.

So far, the favorites to acquire him are the Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets are also contenders, but two of LeBron’s former teams, with whom he won championships, are waiting: Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Heat and the “King’s” beloved Cavaliers.
