Bam Adebayo did not hide his enthusiasm about Giannis Antetokounmpo joining the Miami Heat.
During a Q&A session at his basketball camp, Adebayo was asked to name his favorite Heat teammate and immediately picked the Greek superstar.
“I’m gonna have to go with Giannis,” Adebayo said, per New York Times.
Antetokounmpo arrived in Miami in a blockbuster trade that sent Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, Kasparas Jakucionis, and draft assets to the Milwaukee Bucks.
“You look forward to the excitement around the season,” Adebayo said. “I feel like Pat has been trying to get somebody of that star level for a while. Being able to have that shift and that change, man, we’re looking for growth and to obviously win games.”
Adebayo made the comments before receiving the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Trophy, the NBA’s Social Justice Champion award.
