Anamaria Goltes’ petition seeking child support from Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic was formally dismissed by a Los Angeles County court on Friday, according to the New York Post.
Attorneys representing Doncic and his former fiancée appeared remotely at the hearing. Goltes’ lawyer, Evan C. Itzkowitz, confirmed that his client had requested the withdrawal of the case, after an earlier submission was reportedly rejected because of a procedural issue.
Judge Melissa C. Lyons granted the dismissal without prejudice, meaning Goltes retains the right to file another case at a later date.
Doncic’s attorney, Laura Wasser, maintained that the petition should never have been filed in California and previously accused Goltes of choosing the jurisdiction because of its reputation for awarding substantial child support.
Goltes initially filed the petition on March 9. In her subsequent request to withdraw it, she stated that she wanted the matter resolved privately through a mutual agreement that would serve the best interests of their children.
The New York Post also reported that Goltes has since sought $50 million from Doncic as part of a potential settlement. That figure has not been established through the dismissed court proceedings.
