Bogdan Bogdanovic has already made a strong impression on Kevin Durant during their first days of training camp together with the Houston Rockets.
Durant praised the Serbian guard’s work ethic and enthusiasm as Bogdanovic looks to bounce back from an injury-plagued season.
“Bogi, I knew he was a worker, but to see the pace he goes at and how hard he goes every rep, it inspires me. It makes me go harder. He’s been through a lot of injuries and a lot of difficult situations, and he still approaches every day like he’s a rookie that’s so excited to play again,” Durant said after practice.
Bogdanovic joined Houston after the Los Angeles Clippers declined their $16 million team option.
Injuries limited him to 23 appearances last season, when he averaged 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists, shooting 38.8% from the field and 34.7% from three-point range.
He now has an opportunity to regain his rhythm under Ime Udoka, with Durant’s comments offering an encouraging early sign of his impact in Houston.
