Dalton Knecht has agreed to a two-way contract with the New York Knicks just days after being waived by the Los Angeles Lakers, his agents at Excel Sports Management told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The 25-year-old averaged 4.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 54 appearances last season, with his playing time dropping to 10.2 minutes per game. As a rookie, the No. 17 pick in the 2024 draft averaged 9.1 points and shot 37.6% from three across 78 games.
Cleveland, Sacramento and Minnesota also expressed interest, according to Charania. The Knicks must clear one of their three occupied two-way roster spots to complete the signing.
