Luka Doncic is questionable for the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday because of lower back tightness. The same issue kept him out against the LA Clippers, the only game he has missed this season.

Doncic scored 53 points against Portland on Friday, joining Elgin Baylor, Kobe Bryant and George Mikan as the only Lakers to score at least 40 in four straight games. It was the 11th 50-point game of his career, tying him with Allen Iverson.

The Slovenian is averaging 40.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 7.7 assists through nine appearances. His 361 points are the most by any player through his first nine games of a season since Wilt Chamberlain in 1962–63. The Lakers enter the Detroit game at 8–2.
