The San Antonio Spurs and the Atlanta Hawks made the next step and got the 2-0 advantage in the NBA playoffs.

Shaking off a dismal performance in the playoff opener, Korver swished four 3-pointers in the opening minutes to propel Atlanta to a stunning 21-point lead before many fans had settled into their seats Tuesday night. There wasn’t much doubt after that, the Hawks cruising to an 89-72 victory and a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference series after keeping the Celtics to just 7 points in the first quarter. Swish Thabo Sefolosha added 12 points for the winners and German Dennis Schroder had 8 points.

Patty Mills had 16 points, Kawhi Leonard added 13 and San Antonio never trailed in beating Memphis 94-68 on Tuesday night to sweep the first two games of the first-round series in imposing fashion. Tony Parker added 6 points and 4 assists, Boris Diaw 6 points, 3 assists and 2 blocks, while Serb Boban Marjanovic followed the French duo with 4 points and 2 rebounds.
