Problems for Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert who wasn’t only arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana, but was also found in possession of the weed.
While the incident took place in August, it was just revealed today by TMZ. According to the website, Shumpert was stopped outside of Atlanta for some traffic violations.
The policeman who pulled him over realized that there is something wrong going on with him after noticing that his eyes were… red like a vampire’s and he stank of weed. To put it simply: He was obviously high as the sky.
Schumpert failed to pass the sobriety test and then admitted to smoking marijuana at a friend’s house. When the policeman searched his car, he also found a small jar with less than an ounce of weed.
“A court date has not been set at this point, and neither Iman or the team will have any additional comments while the matter progresses through the legal process,” was the Cleveland Cavaliers official statement on the matter.
