On Saturday evening, a tweet read “LA Clippers” with three smiley-face emojis went on The New York Knicks‘ sensation twitter account and got deleted almost immediately after it was published.
As expected it fueled the fire about Porzingis’ plans for next season, though a representative of the player stated it was simply a hack, as mentioned on ESPN.com.
To add to that, teams were inquiring about trading for Porzingis after he showed his frustration with the direction of the franchise by skipping the meeting with team president Phil Jackson and general manager Steve Mills.
