Pekovic, who missed the entire 2016-17 season due to recurring foot injuries, will not return with the Wolves next season.
The Montenegrin big man appeared in 271 games for the Wolves, averaging 12.6 points, on 51.8 percent shooting, and 6.7 rebounds. He was drafted by Minnesota in the second round (31st overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft.
His last game with the team was in January of the 2015-16 season.
According to RealGM, Pekovic is owed $11.6 millions for 2017-18 season but Minnesota will pursue a medical retirement.
