Steph Curry’s new deal with the Warriors is going to bring him 201 million in five years. It’s an incredible deal and he’s going to be the first player to cross the “200” in the history of the league.
In the meantime, Lebron James thinks that the Warriors superstar should receive double that sum while speaking against the existence of a salary cap that restricts how much a player can earn.
A rule that, in Curry’s case (and not only) also applies to someone that has completely turned around a franchise and influenced a major increase of its value.
James wrote the following after a tweet by journalist Ann Killion that described how the Warriors were bought for $450 million back in 2010 and their value was catapulted to $2.6 billion in seven years.
Obviously a result heavily impacted also by Curry’s attractive and ring-winning presence.
