The Phoenix Suns signed 2017 EuroLeague champion with Fenerbahce Anthony Bennett to a non-guaranteed deal, as reported by Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Bennett, 24, the no. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft spent the second part of the 2016-2017 season playing in Turkey with Fenerbahce with which he was crowned European champion. He was released four days, following the EuroLeague final, on May 25.

The Canadian forward/center will get a chance to return to the NBA where he last played with the Brooklyn Nets, before being waived in January 2017.

Bennett is the second former EuroLeague player signed by the Suns after ex-Panathinaikos‘ Mike James.
