Coach Sean Miller didn’t coach Arizona’s game against Oregon on Saturday after ESPN reported FBI wiretaps intercepted a phone conversation in which the Wildcats’ coach discussed paying $100,000 to ensure Deandre Ayton, the possible number one pick on the upcoming draft, signed with the school. Any kind of payment to players is illegal according to NCAA rules.

“It’s sad, but obviously I can talk only in my own regards. I’m not going to speculate on anything,” said to Chicago Tribune Finn Lauri Markkanen, who played for Miller last season at Arizona. “But it’s sad to see that happen.”

Serb Dusan Ristic, a former player of Crvena Zvezda, is also part of the Arizona Wildcats roster and recently tied the record for most wins in school’s history with 110.
