German power forward Moe Wagner was selected by the L.A. Lakers with the 25th pick overall in the 2018 NBA Draft.
Wagner, 21, became the second European player to be picked in the Draft following Slovenian Luka Doncic who was selected third overall by the Atlanta Hawks and was landed by the Dallas Mavericks via trade.
2004 NBA champion Chauncey Billups compared Wagner with a well-known European former NBA player known for his shooting skills: Turkish big Mehmet Okur.
