According to ESPN the Los Angeles Lakers are pushing again for a trade that will give them Kawhi Leonard and put them in pole position to get LeBron James.
“The stakes on these talks are enormous because the teams believe a deal for Leonard would likely clinch a free-agent commitment out of LeBron James to the Lakers. James has until late Friday night to opt out of the final year of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers“, as ESPN reports.
The Lakers seem ready to sacrifice anything on their current roster in order to convince the Spurs to make a deal with them and they are willing to build around James and Leonard even a roster with players that will get minimum deals for the chance to be part of the team.
