Two European players are included in the spots from 11 to 20 of Sports Illustrated’s Top 100 NBA players ranking.
These players are Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert and Denver Nuggets big Nikola Jokic who are ranked at the 14th and 18th spot respectively.
Both Gobert and Jokic come from highly notable seasons but it’s mostly their potential to produce even more in 2018-2019 that sets them so high in the list.
In 2017-2018, Gobert averaged 13.5 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game in the regular season plus 13.2 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in the playoffs. He earned Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Jokic capitalized on a brilliant output (18.5 points, 10.7 rebounds, 6.1 assists) by signing a max contract extension with the Nuggets.
