LeBron James passed Wilt Chamberlain on NBA’s all-time scoring list Wednesday night. The 33-year-old American forward scored 44 points on his way to 5th place. He made 13/15 free throws, 8/13 two-pointers and 5/6 three-pointers in Los Angeles Lakers win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

He accompanied his 44 points with 10 rebounds, nine assists, three blocks and one steal in 36 minutes, but his scoring touch was the story of the night. With his 28-point second half performance he climbed to 31.425 points in NBA regular season matches, he passed Chamberlain with a three-point play with 3:55 to go.

The win and LeBron’s dazzling performance were the good news for the Lakers. The bad were about Rajon Rondo, who fractured his hand and will be sidelined for at least a few weeks, according to coach Luke Walton.
