Isaac Bonga beats Mitrou-Long, Kostas Antetokounmpo and Alen Smailagic in double figures

Isaac Bonga has yet to debut in the NBA, but is doing pretty well in the G League.

Isaac Bonga led the South Bay Lakers (2-5) to their 107-92 win over the Salt Lake City Stars (3-3) at the “UCLA Health Training Center” on Sunday. The 19-year-old German sank five three pointers on his way for his total of 25 points, also got six rebounds, three assists and three steals in 36 minutes. The Los Angeles Lakers assignee is now averaging 17 points per game in the G League.

Naz Mitrou-Long was on the losing side. The Canadian-Greek got 13 points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks in 33 minutes. The Utah Jazz assignee has 17 points per match since the beginning of the 2018-19 season.

Kostas Antetokounmpo scored 16 points and grabbed eight boards in Texas Legends’ (3-4) 118-111 defeat at the hands of the Iowa Wolves (2-5). He also posted two blocks, one assist and one steal. He is now up to 11.4 points per G League game.

Alen Smailagic notched 13 points, six rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 25 minutes. The 18-year-old Serb forward helped the Santa Cruz Warriors (7-0) overcome the Northern Arizona Suns (2-5) with a 99-92 win.

Hungarian Gyorgy Goloman got five points and six rebounds in only ten minutes for the Westchester Knicks (5-3), who suffered a 113-106 loss at the hands of the Erie BayHawks (3-4). He’s averaging 4.3 points per match this year.

In other action, the Oklahoma City Blue (6-1) beat the Austin Spurs (2-4) with 130-118.
