Injured Luka Doncic missed his first NBA game on Sunday due to a right hip strain. However, the Dallas Mavericks beat the Los Angeles Clippers and took a spot in the NBA’s Western Conference playoff zone.
The Texans needed a block from Dennis Smith Jr. to preserve their lead and secure the “W”. His effort was indeed impressive, as anyone could see in Doncic’s epic reaction.
It’s worth noting that 21-year-old Smith Jr. lost part of a tooth during the third quarter after a loose-ball scramble with Pat Beverley.
The two opponents got into a new scramble in the fourth quarter and 30-year-old Beverley was ejected because he threw the ball to the stands.
